What is Yoga?
Yoga translates as "Union" and this is what we seek in the practice. Union of mind and body, union of breath and movement, and most importantly a sense of deeper connectedness with who you are. We experience yoga by flowing through the asana or postures, working with the breath, and allowing ourselves to go deeper into the Self. We seek to eliminate suffering physically by keeping energy or prana flowing, and mentally by learning to find gratitude in the present.
Sometimes we forget that yoga can be fun! Oftentimes, the practice is perceived as serious and difficult. On the contrary, yoga can be an adventure, one that is filled with humor and laughs. Randi's light-hearted vibe will remind you not to take it all too seriously. Yoga is a practice, one we come back to like an old friend: it's there for us when we need support, but also when we need to let go and play!
